CAD Technician

As a CAD Technician in the Manchester office, you will support our teams to deliver a variety of exciting and interesting projects. We work across multiple sectors, using our design expertise to find innovative solutions for our clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum BTEC Level 3 / HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical subject

Essential

• Typically 5 or more years’ experience in industry
• Use of CAD Software – Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation / Revit / Civil 3D
• Experience in any of the following; Structures, Drainage, Civils and Highways working in the Rail / Highways and Power and Energy Sectors.
• Ability to produce accurate and appropriate engineering drawings and models in an efficient and effective manner
• Good communication skills

Desirable

• Experience in use of ProjectWise, Forma or other Common Data Environments
• EngTech or professional recognition with another institution.
• Experience or interest in Reinforced Concrete detailing.
• Experience or Interest in Digital development – Dynamo, Generative components, Python etc.

• Revit RC & 3DCADS RC – (3D Reinforced Concrete detailing)

• OpenBuildings Designer – (3D Intelligent modelling)
• ProjectWise & Forma (ACC) – (Common Data Environments)
• Autodesk Infraworks – (Concept design & Visualisations)
