Activities Assistant

Overview

As an Activities Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to ensure our residents can enjoy a motivational and fulfilling environment. You will help each resident pursue their interests, live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with family, friends and the local community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings and events for residents.
• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Support residents in living independently by fostering social engagement.
• Work weekends only.

Qualifications

• No specific experience required; background from any field is acceptable.
• Sense of fun, creativity and strong motivation to encourage and inspire others.
• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and genuinely interested in supporting people with disabilities.
