Bristol Materials Testing Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Materials Technician with at least two years of experience in materials testing to join our team. In this role, you will conduct on‑site materials testing and analysis for various construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.) according to UK industry standards (BS, EN, ASTM).
• Perform tests including plate testing, concrete cube making, and more.
• Record and evaluate material performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain field‑testing equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure testing procedures are not delayed.
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve material‑related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of field‑based experience in materials testing, specifically with a strong focus on concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Experience with field testing equipment.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong commitment to quality and safety.
