Looking for regular Class 2 driving work with consistent shift patterns? Driver Hire Portsmouth is recruiting a reliable HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver for immediate agency work with a leading temperature‑controlled logistics specialist.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established logistics operation delivering chilled and frozen products to customers across the South. The driver would be working a 6 & 5 shift pattern – Week 1 (Monday to Saturday) and Week 2 (Monday to Friday), offering regular work with the potential for ongoing assignments.
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
- Must have held licence for min. 3 years.
- Experience working within temperature‑controlled or food distribution is advantageous.
- A professional, reliable approach with excellent customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver chilled and frozen goods safely and efficiently to customer locations.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with all driving regulations.
- Maintain the integrity of temperature‑controlled loads throughout your shift.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices where required.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at each delivery point.
