Play Assistant (Fixed Term until 31 December 2026) – PKC14016

£9,758 – £10,194 (16 hours per week, Term‑time only)

Methvan Primary School Nursery

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of appropriate play/care curriculum before, during and after lunchtime.

Support a happy, busy nursery, putting children’s needs first.

Assist with lifting and moving furniture and equipment to prepare for lunchtime/snack time.

Skills & Experience Required

Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative, responsive to children’s needs and genuinely enjoy working with young children.

Experience working in a nursery environment is desirable.

Required to register as a Support Worker with the SSSC and work towards the relevant qualification within 6 months.
