New Client Acquisition Director
Overview
The New Client Acquisition Director is responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, overseeing operations excellence, and managing the technology roadmap for the new client acquisition sales motion. This role requires expertise in demand generation, prospect qualification, appointment booking, and deal closing, along with a clear vision for positioning and selling these services across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Go-to-Market strategy development, including geo/vertical priorities, target accounts, presentation decks, case studies, and content/thought leadership.
- Monitoring industry trends and market insights to influence GTM and offerings.
- Collaborating with marketing on thought leadership and communications plans.
- Supporting solution definition, pitching, and sponsoring new client programs during set-up and execution.
- Operations Excellence:
- Define and regularly improve operating model, playbook, and best practices, selecting appropriate technologies.
- Establish KPIs and benchmark against best-in-class standards.
- Plan talent acquisition, career paths, and learning/training materials, and ensure team enablement through community-led sessions and benchmark sharing.
- Technology Management:
- Supervise the execution of the offering’s technology roadmap, including external and internal solutions to meet use cases.
- Conduct continuous external tech solutions watch, benchmarking, and pilots.
- Develop and share technology collateral such as impact, use cases, and pricing.
- Align technology solutions with specific client needs.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the project landscape within this motion and lead scoping for break-fix on the install base.
Qualifications
- Strong experience leading new client acquisition teams (SDR, BDR, inside sales) in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience with data and technology solutions that support new client acquisition.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative team orientation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
