About the Company

A well-established business within the gaming industry based in Belfast. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their finance team and support the day-to-day running of the finance function.

About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with and executing the following duties…

  • Process purchase and sales ledger transactions.
  • Match, code and post supplier invoices.
  • Prepare supplier payment runs.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and cash allocations.
  • Manage credit control activities and resolve customer account queries.
  • Assist with month-end finance processes.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll administration and liaise with the outsourced payroll provider.
  • Produce and review financial and operational reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Resolve finance-related queries with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the wider business as required.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc finance and administrative duties.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Administrator or similar finance role.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience using Sage 50 Accounts or similar accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous payroll administration experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional approach to handling confidential financial information.
  • Positive, flexible attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
