As a key partner in the PEACEPLUS Programme, the authority delivers vital cross-border initiatives that promote peace, collaboration, and social inclusion. With a team managing EU-funded projects valued at around €5 million, you will contribute to impactful programmes that benefit local communities and support wider peace-building efforts.

About you:

  • Hold a Level 5 qualification or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Public Sector Financial Management, or demonstrable relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial management, monitoring budgets, and evaluating funded projects
  • Experience working with EU or similar funding frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Valid driving licence and access to transport for travel

What you’ll do:

  • Manage financial procedures and ensure compliance with EU, local authority, and funder guidelines across multiple projects
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial claims
  • Support financial forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting for the programme
  • Assist in maintaining audit readiness by collating documentation and supporting compliance checks
  • Contribute to data collection, monitoring, and analysis to evaluate programme progress
  • Support procurement and verification activities in line with best practices and funder requirements
