We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Workforce Lead to join our corporate Clinical Workforce Team.

Working closely with the Head of Clinical Workforce, you will play a key role in delivering the Trust’s workforce ambitions by supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of recruitment, retention and career development initiatives for our non‑medical clinical workforce.

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Workforce Lead, you will support the delivery of the Trust’s Clinical Workforce Strategy in line with the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, NHS People Promise and ESNEFT’s organisational objectives.

You will work collaboratively with operational, education, recruitment and retention teams to design, implement and evaluate workforce initiatives that strengthen workforce supply, improve retention and create outstanding career development opportunities.

You will also provide day to day management and leadership of the Clinical Workforce team.

The post offers a varied and rewarding portfolio, including workforce planning, education, clinical competency development, international recruitment support, career pathway development and workforce project management.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife or Allied Health Professional
  • Educated to degree level
  • Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development
  • Professional Advocate

Experience

  • Proven experience at Band 6 in a clinical role
  • Experience managing change processes

Knowledge

  • Articlates clear understanding of national policies related to the non-medical clinical workforce
  • Demonstrates an understanding of current workforce challenges in the NHS
  • Awareness of Safer staffing agenda

Salary

£49,387 to £56,515 a yearper annum pro rata
