Senior Principal Electrical Engineer – Water
As a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead technical excellence across major programmes and complex infrastructure projects within Stantec’s Water team. You will design EICA solutions, govern projects from concept to delivery, and mentor engineering talent while strengthening client relationships.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery.• Work closely with Project Managers, discipline leads, clients, and stakeholders to guide the development of high‑quality EICA solutions.• Lead the delivery of EICA design services across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects, offering technical oversight and governance.• Facilitate collaborative design reviews and workshops, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams.• Support the development of engineers within the business through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Requirements – Must Have
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience producing and reviewing technical specifications, control philosophies, Single Line Diagrams, and technical reports.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and providing technical oversight on major projects.
- The ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
Requirements – Desirable
- Experience within the Water sector.
- Experience delivering projects within the Energy, Utilities, or Infrastructure sectors.
- Experience facilitating technical workshops, design reviews, and risk management activities such as HAZOPs.
