The buzz, the energy, the sheer magic of travel… you can feel it in the air all around you. Here, you will be part of an energetic team and a vibrant community that helps you thrive in a career far from the everyday.

This role takes an office-first hybrid approach: three days a week in the office, two days remote, arranged to meet business needs.

  • Day-to-day management of the Social Impact team with wider business engagement at all levels; lead budget planning and management across the team.
  • Develop and deliver an integrated Social Impact plan (economic partnerships, community investment, education, employment, skills and noise management strategy) that creates a pipeline of talent for the future and fully meets legal/statutory requirements.

  • Communications: share London Gatwick’s vision and priorities with external stakeholders, represent the company on external forums and public speaking engagements; collaborate with the communications team to identify profiling and storytelling opportunities.
  • Measurement and reporting: drive accurate measurement and reporting of impact, benchmarking key performance indicators for Decade of Change goals 1, 4 and 5.

Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • Significant experience in social impact and related work in a complex organisation.
  • Significant experience of managing and developing teams, including in challenging environments and through periods of change.
  • Experience of successful partnership working, planning and delivering public consultation.
  • Experience in engaging and communicating with a diverse range of external stakeholders at all levels, including influencing skills and resilience in the face of challenge.
  • Experience representing the business externally at meetings and events.
  • Experience delivering presentations tailored to relevant audiences.
  • Delivery and project management experience, ensuring strong collaboration and coordination across the team.
  • Knowledge of the demographics and characteristics of Sussex, Surrey, Kent and key local challenges in relation to Gatwick’s role in the region would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of social impact/sustainability reporting and good/best practice.

What’s in it for you?

  • A discretionary annual bonus.
  • Free staff parking.
  • Discounted rail travel to work.
  • Share matching scheme and more.
