A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Director of Structural Engineering to lead its Derby-based structural team. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape business growth, manage major client relationships, oversee project delivery, and mentor a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Structural Engineering team.
• Drive business growth and win new work.
• Manage key client relationships.
• Oversee the successful delivery of projects.
• Provide technical, commercial and strategic leadership.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the team.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE), or actively working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Previous experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
