About the opportunity:Due to a period of maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity within our Womens Academyfor a Physiotherapist to join us.
As Academy Physiotherapist Womens Football you willprovide high-quality Physiotherapy services to players within the EFCW Academy, focusing on delivery of treatment and all stages of the rehabilitation pathway. Assisting with the coordination of the medical services on match days, organising and implementing screening programmes, prehab and rehab strategies where required.
As part of the responsibilities of the role, you will be expected to maintaina high level of professional practice and behaviour, including continually keeping up to date with evolutions and developments in practice within the performance sector, developing and amending knowledge and processes in line with this, andtherenewingofall required qualificationsensuring theyare maintained to enable professional / regulatory memberships and insurances.This should include, but not be limited to:
Physiotherapy; practicalities and applications
FA Doping programme and anti-doping legislation
Equity, diversity, and social inclusion
Safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults
Health and safety within the workplace and relevant practices
Other responsibilities
Responsible for the upload of dataand information to Kitman Labs
Lead the departments contributions to the PGAAC criteria
Who were looking for:Essentially, we are looking for an individual who has relevant experience or has workedwithin an elite sporting environmentthis role would also be suited to individuals from asports therapybackground.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge & experience of strength and conditioning requirements of an elite footballer
Extensive knowledge & experience in injury prevention/rehab principles Experience of monitoring rehabilitation of a number of individuals at the same time
The ability to work alongside players of various ages, in a supportive and professional manner
Ability to maintain accurate medico-legal recording
Ability to travel to various locations for training, games, and tournaments
RequiredQualifications
A degree in Physiotherapy, or equivalent
Full Membership to a relevant professional membership organisation
Adequate indemnity insurance
FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF)
Full membership of the Society of Sport Therapy
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered
United KingdomAnti-Doping (UKAD) Clean Sport Essentials + / Introduction to Clean sport

This role will be offered on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, working 35hours per week. The primary location for this role will be at our Finch Farm Training Facility in Halewood, Liverpool however, there will be a requirementto travel to various locations for training, games, and tournaments.
