Locum Consultant Gynae-oncologist

This is an exciting opportunity for a 12‑month Locum Consultant Gynaecology Oncologist to join a team of 32 consultants providing care within the Directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of surgical gynaecological oncology coverage, including diagnostics and major surgical procedures, with a focus on robotic surgery for patients on a cancer pathway.
• Work in collaboration with existing consultants and within the multidisciplinary team.
• Serve an interim post with potential to become a substantive position.
• Base at University Hospital of North Midlands, performing clinical duties across both the Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites.
• Deliver a total of 9.949 full‑time equivalent hours per week.
• Participate in a 1:12 on‑call weekday and weekend rota.
• Maintain continuing responsibility for patients in their charge, supporting care across both hospital sites.
• Act as a member of the relevant divisional, trust and regional committees.
• Contribute to immediate management functions and strategic planning of the division and trusts on both sites.
