Director of Transformation & PMO
As Director of Transformation & PMO, you will provide strategic leadership for the design, delivery and assurance of the GPP’s transformation portfolio, bringing partners together around shared priorities and ensuring programmes deliver meaningful and measurable improvements for local people.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor progress of transformation programmes across key system priorities, including urgent and emergency care, neighbourhood‑based integrated teams, frailty and long‑term conditions, and mental health and crisis care.
- Establish and lead a system‑wide Programme Management Office (PMO), providing robust governance, programme assurance, benefits realisation, risk management and performance reporting.
- Work with Boards, Chief Executives, clinical leaders and system partners to align priorities, resources and delivery plans across multiple organisations.
- Provide strategic advice and assurance to the GPP, supporting system‑wide decision‑making and delivery against agreed objectives.
- Develop transformation capability across the partnership, embedding quality improvement, programme management disciplines and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Use complex financial, workforce, performance and population health information to inform strategic planning, prioritisation and delivery.
- Ensure programmes deliver measurable improvements in quality, productivity, population health outcomes and value for money.
Qualifications & Experience
- First Degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Management qualification or completion of a recognised senior leadership development programme.
- Broad experience of leading and developing high‑performing multi‑professional teams and senior leaders.
- Extensive and specialist knowledge across a wide range of disciplines (Project and programme management, quality improvement, service redesign).
- Significant experience of successfully developing and delivering complex change and transformational service redesign programmes across an Integrated Care System or multiple organisations and sectors.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
