About the role
We are looking for an efficient and hardworking SEN Casework Officer to deliver statutory services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating assessment, production, and review of Education Health and Care (EHC) plans and other aspects of special educational needs.
- Managing a caseload related to a defined group of schools, colleges or geographical area.
- Working closely with parents, carers and professionals from voluntary and statutory agencies.
- Providing excellent interpersonal, communication, prioritisation, and negotiation skills and ensuring delivery within challenging deadlines.
Background in education, social care or special educational needs is advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to parents, carers and professionals.
- Strong communication, prioritisation and negotiation skills.

Employer Details
The post is full time and permanent. The starting salary will be pro rata if the role is less than 37 hours or term‑time only.
