The Statutory Assessment and Review Team seeks a Statutory SEND Officer for a full-time position. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of learners with special educational needs across various schools, settings, and colleges in Northumberland, ensuring statutory processes are completed promptly and EHC Plans are of the highest quality. Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced team are essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support learners with special educational needs across schools, settings, and colleges.
- Ensure statutory processes are performed timely and EHC plans meet quality standards.
- Assist in securing the best outcomes across education, health and social care for learners, helping prepare them for adulthood.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in SEND.
- Good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work under deadlines.
