Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Deliver project management activities in support of the East of England Psychological Professions Network.
  • Work with the PPN team, including experts by experience, to apply project management skills and knowledge to deliver key projects with local, regional, and national impact.
  • Ensure projects are brought to fruition effectively and efficiently, in line with Trust values and those of the PPN.
  • Manage or participate in major, complex projects, liaising appropriately and collaborating with others.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external working groups.
  • Present oral, visual, and written information in an articulate and clear way, adapting content to the audience.
  • Support the effective evaluation of East of England PPN activity, including maintaining the business plan and writing reports to capture evaluation.
  • Oversee external publicity, including maintaining regional website pages and newsletters to membership.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g., Prince2).
  • Ongoing personal and professional development.

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge of mental health and the NHS.
  • Confidence in using the Microsoft Office toolset, web browsers, and related applications.
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Relationship‑management skills, building and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Effective planning skills—short, medium, and long‑term, adjusting as needed.
  • Capability to set up and implement internal processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, organise and prioritise to tight and shifting deadlines.
  • Analytical skills to assess numerical and written data, evaluate options, and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and flexible with encouraging and engaging leadership traits.
  • Ability to embrace new challenges.

Desirable Criteria

  • Prince2 or equivalent project management methodology experience.
  • Analysing and presenting information, completing complex project plans and supporting documentation.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and motivate teams to deliver results.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Supervisory experience.
