Job Description:

The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a specialist Engineering business with offices in Milton Keynes.

The Role

As Accounts Assistant you will have a specialism in AR looking after core Credit Control processes whilst also supporting month end processes and providing Finance and Commercial teams with up to date data and support. Day to day duties will consist of:

Manage the credit control function across customer accounts

Process sales updates for customer invoices and credit notes.

Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve account discrepancies promptly.

Manage customer and internal queries, ensuring unpaid invoice queries are passed to the relevant departments and followed through to resolution.

Support month-end close activities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc analytical analysis.

Process and maintain accounts receivable activity , including recharge invoices, invoice collection and cashbook reconciliation.

Maintain and implement internal controls to a high standard, ensuring financial records meet company requirements.

Assist with audits by liaising with auditors and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts.

Your Profile

You will ideally have an Accounting and Finance Degree with a couple of years of finance experience post University looking for a varied and challenging role where you can add value to the business whilst also being supported in your development and growth towards becoming a Qualified Accountant.

Salary and Benefits

Role of Accounts Assistant in Milton Keynes is working initially in the office 5 days a week with flexibility for Hybrid once up to speed and is offering a salary of £30-35K.
