Overallpurpose of the role
The overallpurpose of this role is to build and establish a brand-new trainingframework from scratch to enhance role-based Financial Crimetraining. Driven by regulatory findings from the Federal Reserveand FCA Skilled Persons reviews, this position focuses on ensuringthat specific employees—such as Relationship Managers and KYCAnalysts—understand their unique Financial Crime risks and knowexactly how to spot and escalatethem.
KeySkills
FinancialCrime or Compliance domain knowledge: Deepunderstanding of the field to accurately identify risks (such asfraud) and train staff on key regulations on the horizon (such asEU AML Authority and virtual assetregulations).
Tangibletraining expertise: Proven experience ininstructional design and creating training content, going beyondsimply writing policydocuments.
Stakeholderengagement: Strong communication and negotiationskills to manage potential pushback from line managers and BusinessManagement teams up to the Director level regarding the amount ofrequiredtraining.
Goodgovernance skillset: Experience in developingoversight of controls, including designing, testing, and ensuringthey are working properly. Alternatively, solid experience inFinancial Crime policy or writing audit and regulatory closurepacks isacceptable.
Evaluationand measurement: Understanding of methodologies forevaluating training effectiveness over time, such as trackingimprovements in QA scores or training passrates.
Desirablecertifications: Relevant Financial Crimecertifications and formal instructional design training (such asCornerstone academy courses) are preferred but not strictlyrequired.
Keyresponsibilities
Developand implement a targeted, role-based mandatory training frameworkfrom the ground up.
ConductTraining Needs Assessments/Analysis (TNA) and role mapping todetermine exactly which employees require specifictraining.
Design and createcomprehensive training materials, including presentation decks,e-learning courses, and learninglabs.
Develop specializedcontent that teaches employees how to practically identify, manage,and escalate financial crime risks within their specific day-to-dayfunctions.
Measure theimpact and effectiveness of the training programs deployed toensure learning objectives aremet.
