Overview
We are seeking a permanent Band 7 Highly Specialist Childrens Occupational Therapist to join our Community Childrens Therapy Team in West Essex, covering Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest. This role is part of an awardwinning Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service, working with Barnardos to trailblaze an innovative integrated partnership model. You will work directly with children and families to improve health outcomes across the local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead service provision across universal, targeted and specialist levels.
- Collaboratively work with fellow Band 7 Occupational Therapists.
- Contribute to the supervision and development of colleagues.
- Support service improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including OT, PT and Therapy Assistants.
- Manage a mixed, complex caseload of children and young people aged 0-19 years.
- Deliver specialist occupational therapy interventions across schools, community clinics, hubs, family homes and special schools.
- Provide high quality, child centred care that aligns with evidence based best practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Minimum of two years paediatric experience with children exhibiting a range of conditions.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
- Innovative, adaptable and highly motivated with genuine passion for improving outcomes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, flexible and solution focused approach.
