Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our team working on commercial vehicle bodies and fuel tank fabrication. The role involves welding, assembling, and fabricating a range of steel components for bespoke vehicle body builds and associated equipment to a high standard of quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, preparing and fabricating materials, carrying out MIG/TIG welding, and ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently. You will work on a variety of commercial body builds.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of steel fuel tanks and commercial vehicle bodies
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Using welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
• Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Assisting with assembly and fitting of fabricated components
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications

• Previous MIG/TIG welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Experience with commercial vehicle body building or fuel tanks desirable
• Good attention to detail and workmanship
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
