Gap Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client, who are a well-established and respected manufacturing business based in Swindon, for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual with MIG and/or TIG welding experience who is looking for a long-term, permanent position with an immediate start following a successful interview.
The Role
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding a variety of metal components to high-quality standards, working from engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG and TIG welding of fabricated metal products
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Fabricating components to required specifications
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Using workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Fabricator / Welder
- Proven MIG and/or TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pmFriday: 7:00am – 12:00pm (Early Finish)
- 38.5 hours per week
- Overtime may be available depending on business requirements
Pay & Benefits:
- £15.00 per hour starting rate
