Key Responsibilities
The Role
We’re looking for a Quality Technician to join our Chinley site and play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with production teams, you’ll carry out testing, resolve quality issues, and help ensure everything we produce meets both company and customer requirements. This is a hands‑on role where your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills will make a real impact on product quality and site performance.
- Carry out quality testing on products during your shift
- Record and report test results accurately
- Identify and investigate quality issues and failures
- Work with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly
- Support product approvals and ensure standards are met
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure it is calibrated and in good condition
- Monitor trends in quality data and raise concerns where needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Follow and promote Health & Safety standards at all times
The Candidate
Knowledge / Experience / Skills Required
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in manufacturing (desirable)
- Experience in quality assurance or testing (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues early
- Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Confident communicator who works well as part of a team
- Flexible and able to work shift
Working Hours
42.5 hours per week (Rotating shift pattern, one week day’s, one week nights Monday – Thursday)
