Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Specialist Lymphoedema Service as a key member of the team, providing maternity leave cover in a varied, fast-paced and rewarding role. As the central point of coordination for administrative processes, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the patient pathway, working closely with clinicians and a wide range of partners across the health and care system. The role is ideal for a proactive, highly organised individual who enjoys making a meaningful difference behind the scenes and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Service Coordination & Administration: Overseeing clinic scheduling, diary management, staff allocation, waiting lists, referrals, patient bookings, meetings, training events, and maintenance of accurate records within SystmOne and other systems.
  • Patient & Referrer Support: Acting as the first point of contact for patients, carers, clinicians and external agencies, managing enquiries, signposting, referrals, and escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Waiting List & Caseload Management: Monitoring referrals and waiting lists, investigating delays or breaches, undertaking caseload reviews, and ensuring timely patient follow-up and appointment allocation.
  • Clinical Service Support: Coordinating clinics, home visits, equipment prescriptions, transport, interpreters, and communications with patients.
  • Resource Management: Ordering clinical and office supplies, managing equipment processes, maintaining service documentation, and ensuring administrative systems and guidance remain up to date.
