Are you comfortable working around heavy machinery and industrial plant?
We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to join a busy aggregates operation in the Brighton &Hove area.
This is a hands‑on role supporting the safe and efficient operation of a heavy industrial site.
The Role
Your responsibilities may include:
- Operating fixed and mobile plant
- Monitoring production equipment
- Completing basic plant inspections
- Identifying and reporting faults
- Supporting routine maintenance activities
- Cleaning and maintaining operational areas
- Loading and moving materials
- Following site health and safety procedures
- Completing production and operational records
- Working closely with maintenance and operational teams
What We Are Looking For
Experience within quarrying or aggregates would be useful, although it is not essential.
We are interested in candidates from:
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Recycling
- Waste
- Warehousing
- Agriculture
- Heavy industry
Experience operating mobile plant such as loading shovels, dumpers or similar equipment would be advantageous.
