Maintenance Team Member – Cricket St Thomas

Job Description

As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Leader you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the guest journey from the moment each guest arrives. By working together with a large diverse and multi‑skilled team, you will ensure all our guests enjoy the highest quality stay keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating as well as preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Work independently to maintain the building, ensuring it looks its best and all areas are fully functioning.
• Use and maintain a range of equipment, including loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Keep the guest journey at the heart of everything and maintain a positive, problem‑solving attitude.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous maintenance technician experience helps but is not essential.
• Willingness to learn about maintenance across a large hotel.
• Guest‑focused mindset and strong people skills.

Location

Cricket St Thomas, part of the Warner Hotels Group. This 239‑bedroom GradeII listed hotel features a theatre, spa and restaurant and is surrounded by 160 acres of parkland in the West Country.

Pay

Up to 12.21 per hour depending on age.
