Position Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Landscape Services team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining public open spaces. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out ground maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming and sports field upkeep.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Use equipment and materials safely, following best practices.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent Landscape Services professionally.
- Liaise with clients to address any concerns and resolve on‑site issues.
- Support additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role.
- Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures.
- Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment.
- Basic machinery maintenance skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A self‑motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel to and from Tonbridge for work.
