We’re supporting a specialist education provider in Gateshead that’s looking for passionate Learning Support Assistants to join their team in September. You’ll be working with pupils who benefit from a smaller, nurturing environment where relationships, consistency and individual support are at the heart of everything they do.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Helping deliver engaging learning activities
  • Building positive relationships that encourage trust and confidence
  • Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to education
  • Working alongside experienced teachers and specialist staff

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
  • Are caring, proactive and adaptable
  • Believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
  • Are available full‑time from September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
