We’re supporting a specialist education provider in Gateshead that’s looking for passionate Learning Support Assistants to join their team in September. You’ll be working with pupils who benefit from a smaller, nurturing environment where relationships, consistency and individual support are at the heart of everything they do.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Helping deliver engaging learning activities
- Building positive relationships that encourage trust and confidence
- Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to education
- Working alongside experienced teachers and specialist staff
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
- Are caring, proactive and adaptable
- Believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
- Are available full‑time from September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
