Support Worker

Support Worker – Treharris

Full time – 39 hours a week plus sleep‑ins. Pay £13.45 to £13.75 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Driver licence is essential.

We are a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to young people who have experienced childhood trauma, are struggling with mental health or both.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical and emotional needs of children and young people are met in a supportive and caring environment.
• Act as a positive role model and promote independence through support of a range of activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to tailor support to individual needs.
• Keep accurate records of all activities, progress and incidents.
• Perform general housekeeping duties including meal preparation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous care experience preferred.
• Current valid driver’s licence.
• Compassion, empathy and resilient nature.
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Flexible and reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Can‑do attitude and willingness to work varied shift times.
