Arden White Aerospace & Aviation Recruitment are currently working with a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation who are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Manager to lead and develop their Quality function. This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in line with AS9100 standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business. As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s QMS, leading audits, managing the quality team, and working cross-functionally to ensure the highest standards are embedded throughout manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong, hands-on leader with a background in aerospace or precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage internal, external, certification, customer, and regulatory audits
  • Lead root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and non-conformance management
  • Oversee supplier quality including audits, approvals, and performance monitoring
  • Manage First Article Inspection processes (AS9102) and validation activities
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to embed quality standards
  • Develop, mentor, and lead the Quality team
  • Monitor and report on key quality KPIs and drive improvement initiatives
  • Ensure effective control of quality documentation and records

About You

You will be an experienced Quality professional with a proven background in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments, capable of leading teams and driving measurable improvements.

Essential Experience

  • Proven Quality Management experience within aerospace or precision engineering
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
  • Experience managing audits (internal, external, and customer)
  • Expertise in non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and CAPA
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • GD&T certification
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection
  • Lean Manufacturing certification
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality

Industry Experience

  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • Precision engineering or sheet metal fabrication
  • Supplier quality management
  • Welding/fabrication standards (ISO 3834 / EN 1090)
