Job Details

Learning Support Assistant / Midday Meals Supervisor

Start date: September 2026

Temporary initially with the potential for permanent

Hours:

Learning Support Assistant G3 (£14,800-£15,050 p.a.), 26hrs 15 mins per week (8:15am – 3:15pm)

Midday Meals Supervisor G2 (£2,770-£2,820 p.a.), 5hrs per week

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for children in class and work with vulnerable children and those with special educational needs.
  • Support learning under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Prepare teaching and learning materials as required.
  • Work with groups of children to support their learning.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies for groups and individual students.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible.
  • Committed to working with children to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Willingness to work with vulnerable children and those with special educational needs.
  • Ability to understand and use a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Skills in preparing teaching and learning materials.
