Part-Time Volunteer Program Lead – VMS Training (6mo FTC)

We are inviting applications for the role of Volunteer Coordinator within the Patient Safety, Clinical Governance & Risk Management Team. The role supports volunteers and staff within Acute Services, and involves implementing a new Volunteer Management System (VMS) and ensuring volunteers use it effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the new VMS and provide training to existing and new volunteers.
• Promote the role of volunteers and develop volunteer capabilities to enhance services.
• Assist volunteers with day‑to‑day tasks, ensuring they use the VMS to its fullest potential.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time‑management/prioritisation skills.
• Ability to promote volunteer roles positively.

Working conditions

• Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible over at least 3 days.
• Fixed‑term secondment: 6 months; salary pro rata for part‑time hours.
