- Complete retailer technical documentation, including product specs, QAS, nutritional data, allergen information, and labelling requirements.
- Liaise with retail technical teams to resolve queries and ensure timely approval of specifications.
Artwork & Labelling
- Review and approve artwork for packaging, ensuring accuracy of ingredients, allergens, nutrition, claims, and legal declarations.
- Work with design agencies and internal teams to ensure artwork aligns with product specifications and regulatory requirements.

- Support NPD and Technical teams with specification creation for new products, reformulations, and packaging changes.
- Ensure all technical documentation is completed ahead of launch deadlines.
Technical Governance & Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate product data including nutritional values, allergens, raw material information, and supplier documentation.
- Work with suppliers to obtain and validate technical information, certificates, and compliance documents.

- Support internal and external audits by ensuring specifications and technical documentation are complete and compliant.
- Assist with technical investigations, product queries, and corrective actions where specification accuracy is involved.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Specifications Technologist or Technical Administrator role within FMCG (ideally ambient food).
- Strong understanding of retailer specification systems (e.g., Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Co‑op).
- Excellent knowledge of food labelling regulations, allergens, nutrition, and legal requirements.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and data‑management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with suppliers, internal teams, and retailer technical contacts.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
