Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise whole classes across the primary age range.
- Deliver lessons from teachers’ plans and resources.
- Plan and prepare lessons during longer-term cover arrangements.
- Mark and assess pupils’ work in line with school policies.
- Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND.
- Undertake playground, breaktime and lunchtime supervision duties.
- Work closely with teachers and leaders to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Contribute fully to the wider life of the school.
Qualifications
- Has experience working with primary-aged children.
- Can confidently lead whole-class learning.
- Has excellent behaviour management skills.
- Is able to plan, deliver and assess learning effectively.
- Has high expectations of themselves and others.
- Believes that every child can succeed, regardless of background or starting point.
- Is flexible, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
