Claremont is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our supportive team and play a key role in maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour across the school. The successful candidate will supervise classes during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning and complete the work set. They will also contribute to the rota of break and lunchtime duties, primarily working within the Senior School and occasionally within the Junior School when required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment during teacher absences.
- Support student progress and classroom management, ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused.
- Assist with break and lunchtime duties as part of the scheduled rota.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support the overall ethos of Claremont.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Confident working with young people and capable of maintaining behaviour effectively.
- Transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people are welcomed.
Hours and Salary
8:15am – 4:15pm, Monday to Friday (including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break). Term time plus INSETS (35 weeks of the year). Part‑time applications will be considered; please state your preference in your application.Salary: FTE £30,000 – £32,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Actual salary £23,127 – £24,669 depending on qualifications and experience.
