Job Title

Nursery Assistant – Maternity Cover

Location

Epsom, Surrey – the role will based at Meadow Primary School but may incorporate working at the neighbouring Nonsuch Primary School.

Contract

Part time, Temporary (Maternity cover)

Hours

17.5 hours per week, term time (Monday to Wednesday 8.30am – 3.30pm with 30‑minute unpaid lunch break)

Salary

Surrey PS3 £25,133 FTE (actual salary £9,971, based on 37 weeks, includes 2 mandatory INSET days at the start of every academic year)

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team under the direction of the Nursery Teacher to support teaching provision and the development and implementation of learning for pupils.
  • Facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
  • Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification).
