The Vacancy

At Inspire Wellbeing, we support people with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism to live fulfilling lives. We are looking for a Cook to provide high-quality, nutritious meals within one of our schemes.

Location: Greenvale, Belfast

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Hours: 12 per week

Greenvale is a small, welcoming residential home where 11 residents with intellectual disability and autism are supported to live as independently as possible in their own home.

We are looking for a caring, reliable and well-organised Cook who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals. This is a rewarding opportunity to make mealtimes enjoyable, meaningful and person-centred for our residents. You will work independently in the kitchen, while being part of a supportive staff team and reporting to a Team Leader.

About the Role

  • Prepare fresh, nutritious meals that residents can look forward to each day.
  • Work independently, taking pride in the smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Plan menus around residents’ preferences, dietary needs and modified diets, following IDDSI guidance where required.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safe storage and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Work closely with the staff team and report to the Team Leader.

Following the interviews, a waiting list will be created for similar posts for a nine month period.
