VANRATH are recruiting a Plumber to work on Social Housing maintenance projects for a large, leading Construction Company in Derry, Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration: £32,000 DOE + van / fuel card / package

Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures within residential properties. This role ensures that all plumbing work is carried out to the highest standards, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of company properties.

  • Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plumbing systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing effective solutions
  • Install and repair water heaters, boilers, and other plumbing-related appliances
  • Ensure compliance with current plumbing codes and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including maintenance logs and safety checks
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Communicate effectively with clients and tenants to explain necessary work and provide maintenance advice
  • Use of PDA system to accurately facilitate the day to day running of all tasks

The Ideal Person:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a Plumbing or equivalent
  • Valid JIB card
  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance and repair work
  • Knowledge of current plumbing codes and standards
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • CSR Card
