Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of health and social care professionals? Do you thrive in a collaborative, inclusive, and student-centred environment? City College is looking for a new Lecturer to our vibrant team.

Why Join Us?

At City College, we believe in empowering both learners and staff. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking team dedicated to creating positive, inspiring and transformative learning experiences for young people aged 16–19.

Our Ways of Working underpin everything we do: we are Kind and Curious, Respectful and Fair, Creative and Positive, Collaborative and Inclusive, and Consistent and Responsible. If these values resonate with you, you’ll find a true home here.

The Role:

As a health and social care lecturer you will course lead, plan and deliver lessons on our L2 and L3 HSC programmes of study.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with a health and social care background who are enthusiastic about sharing their expertise and who are keen to further develop their teaching skills. Whilst a qualified lecturer/teacher is preferred, we will support your growth, development and training if this is the right role for you.

What We’re Looking For:

•          A strong foundation in health and social care, with relevant professional qualifications.

•          A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student success.

•          A creative, solutions focused approach to learning and teaching.

•          The ability to motivate and inspire young people.

•          A collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to contribute to a supportive team environment.

Teaching experience is preferred but not essential – what matters most is your passion, expertise, and willingness to learn.

Why City College?

•          A nurturing, forward thinking environment where staff feel valued.

•          Commitment to ongoing professional development.

•          Opportunities for creativity, innovation, and career progression.

•          Generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

•          The chance to make a genuine difference every day.
