Location: London
Job Description:

Your Team

You will join the News Broadcasting Digital Team, a powerhouse of digital innovation that creates award-winning national and local radio and podcasts. We are the UK’s most digital broadcaster, reaching millions of listeners through iconic brands like talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK, Times Radio, Talk, and Onic. You will specifically support the App and Platform Team, which manages our core mobile applications and the robust backend services that power our entire digital estate.

Your Role

As a Business Analyst, you will act as the essential bridge between ambitious business goals and technical execution across two agile streams. Reporting into the Lead Business Analyst, you will support the enhancement of our five core apps and the optimisation of our APIs to ensure a seamless user experience.

Day to day you will:

  • Collaborate within an agile product team with engineers (including QA), product managers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality digital features.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, including Epics and Stories, to provide development teams with an unambiguous roadmap.
  • Support Product Managers in managing the product roadmap and refining backlogs to ensure they align with high-value business outcomes.
  • Coordinate with front‑end and back‑end teams to map dependencies, ensuring new app features are fully supported by our platform capabilities.
  • Define success metrics for delivered stories and communicate the value created to various stakeholders.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience working on digital projects within mobile app ecosystems or backend/API integrations, with a comfort for discussing system designs with developers.
  • Experience delivering projects within agile or iterative environments, specifically using frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Self‑directed worker who demonstrates high levels of autonomy, taking full ownership of tasks from discovery through to delivery without constant supervision.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative on projects already in flight and adapt quickly to new challenges.
  • Clear communicator who can present complex initiatives in a crisp, neat, and concise manner to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills used to create detailed documentation such as story maps, process maps, and impact assessments to guide product development.

If you think you have what it takes but don’t tick every requirement on the list, please do apply. We recognise that considering someone’s potential as well as their experience is a great way to hire. We want to hear from people who have a passion to learn and develop.
