Project Manager – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

We are expanding our Transformation Team to deliver the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system replacement programme, a fixed‑term role until 30 September 2027. The project will replace the Council’s Finance and HR system and improve working practices across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, plan and deliver ERP projects that achieve the Council’s benefits and objectives.
  • Work closely with directorate leads to manage activities for each phase of the programme, ensuring timescales, risks, issues and reporting are controlled.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and transition‑state plans, adapting to project complexity.
  • Deliver and manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously, identifying and addressing critical issues and risks.
  • Facilitate risk‑based decision making, monitoring residual risk throughout the project life‑cycle.
  • Engage with and manage the performance of third‑party suppliers and partners, ensuring delivery to agreed standards.

Qualifications

  • Foundation of a project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to scope, plan and govern projects with clear objectives, outcomes and delivery approaches.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, finances and resource allocation for projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with ERP‑replacement projects is a benefit but not essential.
