Overview
Deputy Service Managers with a passion for improving the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re looking for a Deputy Service Manager to lead our residential service in Mapperley. The service is a welcoming, friendly environment that supports people with mental health conditions on their road to recovery. Our Deputy Service Managers will manage a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people gain more independence in their daily lives. This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement person‑centred support plans, conduct care needs assessments, recruit and induct new colleagues, complete supervisions, appraisals, medication competencies and audits, attend multidisciplinary meetings, produce reports, and assist the Registered Manager with day‑to‑day service management. You will also be part of the on‑call rota, which may change with service needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the team of supported living staff.
- Develop and implement person‑centred support plans.
- Conduct care needs assessments.
- Recruit, induct and supervise staff.
- Complete medication competencies and audits.
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and produce reports.
- Assist the Registered Manager with day‑to‑day management.
- Participate in the on‑call rota.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care management role.
- Level3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support.
- Knowledge of strength‑based and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Ability to lead and coach a diverse team.
