Permanent, Part Time 18.5 hours per week (job-share)

Are you passionate about housing and homelessness issues? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative effort focused on reducing homelessness in Bristol.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Commissioner or Project Manager who can deliver strategic service improvements that significantly increase the availability of move‑on accommodation for people who are homeless and the supply of cost‑effective, high‑standard Temporary Accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic service improvements that increase availability of move‑on accommodation and high‑standard Temporary Accommodation.
  • Identify and project‑manage the delivery of additional move‑on accommodation to help reduce homelessness in Bristol.
  • Work closely with other teams within Housing Options, partner organisations working with homeless households and people sleeping rough, and a wide group of other agencies involved in developing affordable accommodation options.
  • Coordinate a range of interventions to ensure work objectives and deadlines are met.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience as a Commissioner or Project Manager in homelessness or affordable housing delivery services.
  • Strong strategic service improvement experience and ability to manage projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and IT skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, manage time effectively and coordinate multiple interventions.
