Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Project Management Team and lead the delivery of a significant portfolio of construction, regeneration and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex, high‑value capital schemes, including projects with budgets exceeding £7 million, from feasibility and design through to construction and handover.

Our programme is one of the most diverse in the region, encompassing town centre regeneration, major housing developments, transport infrastructure, heritage restoration, leisure investment and low‑carbon initiatives. These projects leave a visible legacy, transforming places, improving services and supporting economic growth across North East Lincolnshire.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects throughout their entire lifecycle, leading delivery from concept and business case development through procurement, design, construction, implementation and post‑project evaluation.

You will develop and manage project plans, budgets, programmes, governance documentation and risk management processes, ensuring projects remain on track and that issues are addressed proactively.

You will prepare high‑quality reports, board papers and briefing notes for programme boards, senior leaders and elected members. You will present project information confidently, provide clear recommendations and support effective decision‑making at all levels.

Success requires a strong focus on accountability, transparency and delivery. You will manage competing priorities, work to demanding timescales and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved. You will oversee procurement activity, manage consultant and contractor relationships and work collaboratively with developers, statutory bodies, utility providers, landowners and funding partners to deliver successful project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

A proactive and results‑focused project professional with at least two years’ experience delivering or coordinating construction‑related projects. Experience in construction, regeneration, infrastructure, capital or built‑environment projects is essential.

Strong project planning, communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to drive projects forward and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.

Experience preparing reports and presenting to boards, governance groups or senior stakeholders is highly desirable.

Understanding of procurement, contract management and project governance. A recognised project‑management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM PMQ, together with a relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
