Transport Compliance Coordinator

Location: Portsmouth, UKSalary: Up to £35,000Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Office Based)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Compliance Coordinator to join a successful and growing organisation within the waste management and transport sector.

Based from impressive facilities in Portsmouth, this business has built an excellent reputation for delivering reliable, sustainable and customer-focused solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a detail-driven Transport Compliance Coordinator to join their operations team and play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and efficiency across their transport function.

This is an office-based role, working closely with drivers, transport management and internal teams to ensure all operations remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor driver hours, route performance and compliance requirements to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage driver compliance records, documentation and reporting to support Operator Licence requirements.
  • Monitor driver systems and ensure accurate completion of required processes.
  • Support investigations relating to incidents, accidents or driver compliance issues.
  • Produce regular compliance reports and provide updates to the wider operations team.
  • Manage working hours data, fuel card administration and driver expenses.
  • Support fleet reporting, including vehicle availability and downtime tracking.
  • Maintain driver training records, HR documentation and transport administration.
  • Assist with transport audits, appraisals and wider compliance activities.
  • Provide general support to the Operations Manager and wider transport team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience within transport compliance, logistics administration, fleet operations or a similar environment.
  • Good understanding of transport regulations and driver compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident communicating with drivers, managers and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with systems, reports and administrative processes.
