Store Detective

Position: Store Detective

Location: Weston Favell and surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

Requirements:

• Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence.
• Have at least 3 years of Retail Security Experience.
• Strong understanding of retail loss prevention.
• Must be willing and able to travel between multiple sites within the local area.
• Knowledge of ASCONE procedures to ensure all stops are legal and safe.
• High attention to detail to detect suspicious behaviour.

Responsibilities:

• Provide covert security and contribute to the safety and security of premises and staff.
• Remain “invisible” and blend in while monitoring for suspicious activity.
• Detain shoplifters safely and de‑escalate volatile situations.
• Carry out company policy on loss prevention and ensure staff and visitors are safe.
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
• Carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible.
• Maintain up‑to‑date site knowledge and identify local developments.
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required by the client.
• Maintain the security base in a clean and tidy condition.
• Conduct oneself in a manner that brings credit to oneself and the company, wearing full uniform and displaying the SIA licence.

Aged 18 or over, confident communicator, team player, with a drive to provide friendly and professional service. Must be tech‑savvy to use digital devices and perform administrative tasks. Great communication and customer service skills are essential.
