Element Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing Wealth Management firm to support the search for a Client Support Team Leader.

Offering £35,000 – £40,000 DOE, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning Administrator, Team Leader, or Client Support Manager looking to take ownership of a key operational function within a professional and client-focused business

You will be responsible for leading and developing the administration team, ensuring advisers receive first-class support while maintaining high standards of service, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with Wealth Consultants, Paraplanners, and Compliance teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional client experience.

The Role

You will oversee the day-to-day management of the Client Support team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed, service standards are maintained, and processes continue to evolve as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the Financial Planning Administration and PA Support team
  • Allocating workloads, setting priorities, and monitoring performance against agreed service standards
  • Conducting regular one-to-ones, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
  • Overseeing all aspects of financial planning administration, including new business, transfers, withdrawals, valuations, and policy servicing
  • Ensuring advisers are fully supported with diary management, meeting preparation, and follow-up actions
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex or urgent administrative queries
  • Maintaining accurate file management and record-keeping processes
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
  • Supporting system enhancements and wider business change initiatives
  • Producing management information and performance reports for senior stakeholders
  • Monitoring KPIs, service levels, accuracy, and team capacity
  • Ensuring appropriate team resourcing and operational coverage at all times

About You

  • Experience within Financial Planning, Wealth Management, or Independent Financial Advice (IFA)
  • Strong understanding of financial planning administration processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior team members
  • Good understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and industry best practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Previous Team Leader, Supervisor, or Management experience
  • Experience using Financial Planning CRM and back-office systems
  • Exposure to process improvement, change projects, or system implementations
  • Advanced IT skills, including Excel and Financial Planning software
