Project Manager

£65,000 – £75,000 per annum, Permanent, Full-time, Merseyside, England

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their delivery team on a Civil Engineering infrastructure project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering complex and rewarding works. The role requires taking full responsibility for managing a section of works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will be empowered to lead from the front, driving a right-first-time culture while contributing to the long-term success of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of planning, programming, and delivery of your section of works
  • Produce and monitor construction programmes and progress reports
  • Manage cost plans and oversee contractual elements of the project
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and third parties to ensure smooth delivery
  • Work closely with commercial teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Lead on health, safety, environment, and quality compliance
  • Review and approve RAMS, ITPs, and engineering documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Directors and Works Managers to meet key milestones
  • Ensure efficient and high-quality handover of completed works

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Project Manager or similar role within civil engineering/infrastructure
  • CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence
