Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Financial Control & Reporting to lead our financial control, statutory reporting, and governance functions. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and delivering timely, accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a high-performing finance team, drive continuous improvement across financial processes, and ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and accounting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated financial statements and prepare statutory accounts for all entities
  • Manage consolidation processes and intercompany eliminations
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and integrity
  • Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure controls
  • Ensure compliance with FRS 102 and company policies
  • Manage audit processes and external auditor relationships
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Ensure strong cash controls and working capital management
  • Support cash forecasting and liquidity management
  • Ensure that quarterly GST reports are prepared and submitted on a timely basis
  • Review and submit company tax
  • Deliver management and board reporting
  • Provide financial analysis and performance
  • Support strategic decision-making

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in financial control, statutory reporting, or financial accounting.
  • Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Experience managing external audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced Excel skills
